Study on Anxiety and Satisfaction of Clinical Practice


Abstract
The study was performed in order to help the education of clinical Nursing investigating relation between Anxiety and satisfaction of clinical practice including 138 senior students of four Nursing college from 1st March to 15th April, 1988.
The collected date were analyzed by pecentage, ANOVA, peason correlation according to purpose of study.
The results summarized as follows:
1. Seeing that the general characteristic of senior students, most of them are 21-22 years old, 71.7% of them have religions, 58.0% of them apply for the first rank of the choice order of the admission, 51.4% of them are in the motives of selecting the Nursing, and they (68.8%) have their own houses, 42.0% are satisfactory for the life of campus.
2. The total average mark satisfaction of clinical practice is 3.0525, which is satisfactory mark, According to each item rank, content (3.4971), time (3.0549), instruction (2.9800), evaluation (2.9589) environment (2.7717).
3. The degree of satisfaction of clinical practice as to the characteristic of student was not significant in choice of order of admission (P = .266) and the motive of selecting the Nursing (P = .063) but in the existence of religion (P = .046) and the degree of satisfaction about campus life (P = .000).
4. The result which is correlated with the relation between anxiety and satisfaction of clinical practice was as follows:
The main hypothesis that "The less the degree of anxiety is the higher the degree of satisfaction on clinical practice will be" was not supported (r = -.0908 P = .145).
The first sub-hypothesis that "The less the degree of ajnxiety trait is the higher the
degress of satisfaction on clinical practice will be" was supported. (r = -.1401 P = .050*). The second sub hypothesis that "The less the degree of anxiety state is the higher the degree of satisfaction on clinical practice will be" was not supported. (r = .0405 P = .318).
